Currently I live on the west coast, but I am getting ready to move to the east coast (Georgia). I was wondering if there was any good sand out there. Anything comparable to Glamis or Pismo? I don't know how I'll live without sand.... :shootself: Thanks in advance.

The closest set of "DUNES" on the east coast is Silver Lake Michigan. I know there is something down in Lousiana, but I'm not sure of the name.

Im sure there are sand/gravel pits everywhere but those are NOT dunes.

My suggestion............ stay out west. There is noting on the east coast thats worth a dam for dunes.

:)

If I could only talk my wife into moving out west....... Blah` banghead

just stay where you are, nothing but mud out here, you won t like it.

And trust me.... Its not like were saying this because were trying to hide anything... There is nothing worth while on the east coast (besides Hatfield McCoy but thats trails-mud-rocks) If your into MX-GNC-GNCC then your all set... but No dunes :(

Well damn. I guess I'll have to take up MX or GNC or GNCC. Thanks for confirming because I've heard it's all dirt out there as well. Sadly I don't have a choice whether or not I move. Maybe I'll build a dune in my back yard, I've got an acre hahaha.
