iceman Posted July 3, 2004 Report Posted July 3, 2004 Currently I live on the west coast, but I am getting ready to move to the east coast (Georgia). I was wondering if there was any good sand out there. Anything comparable to Glamis or Pismo? I don't know how I'll live without sand.... Thanks in advance. Quote
ranshee Posted July 3, 2004 Report Posted July 3, 2004 I think there is some dunes in Missippi or Louisiana, Not shure though. Quote
Gargamel Posted July 3, 2004 Report Posted July 3, 2004 no sand out that way except the beaches. ...........and nothing near Cali dunes, just beaches Quote
banshee370 Posted July 3, 2004 Report Posted July 3, 2004 The closest set of "DUNES" on the east coast is Silver Lake Michigan. I know there is something down in Lousiana, but I'm not sure of the name. Im sure there are sand/gravel pits everywhere but those are NOT dunes. My suggestion............ stay out west. There is noting on the east coast thats worth a dam for dunes. If I could only talk my wife into moving out west....... Blah` Quote
NYUK Posted July 3, 2004 Report Posted July 3, 2004 just stay where you are, nothing but mud out here, you won t like it. Quote

Its not like were saying this because were trying to hide anything... There is nothing worth while on the east coast (besides Hatfield McCoy but thats trails-mud-rocks) If your into MX-GNC-GNCC then your all set... but No dunes Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted July 3, 2004 Report Posted July 3, 2004 yup, i live in ny and always wanted to ride in the dunes! but rocks and mud is all ive gotten, snuck into a rock collection once, and roosted on a pile of sand, but thats as far as it goes Quote
iceman Posted July 3, 2004 Author Report Posted July 3, 2004 Well damn. I guess I'll have to take up MX or GNC or GNCC. Thanks for confirming because I've heard it's all dirt out there as well. Sadly I don't have a choice whether or not I move. Maybe I'll build a dune in my back yard, I've got an acre hahaha. Quote
badcompany Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 where in georgia are you moving??? there are dunes in albany but they are extremely small compared to glamis i believe. If your in south georgia you could take up drag racing, pm me about it. Quote
