Banshee Flyer Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 I know the boost bottle "increases throttle response and low end power" but does it really work? In other words, is it worth the $30? And what does it do? Quote
yamaha350 Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 it goes in the trash. dont get one its not worth the money. there is no power difrence. anyone who tells you there is is full of it. Quote
Banshee Flyer Posted April 30, 2004 Author Report Posted April 30, 2004 Thanks, my cousin didn't notice a difference either. Quote
bansha60 Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 You have to put in aftermarket reeds (V-force,boysen's) with the boost bottle or you wont see a change, its gives you more air to open up the reeds faster and give instant throttle responce, and either a different filter in the box (k&n). or clamp ons yes it does work Quote
Banshee Flyer Posted April 30, 2004 Author Report Posted April 30, 2004 oh come on, who doesn't have a K&N? Quote
yamaha350 Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 i have k&n filters and vforce. i could tell no difrence with or without a booste bottle. it isnt free air that opens the reeds its the pull from the cylinders. if you want a great throttle responce switch to alky and a pvl. why dont drag racers use them? they are a waste of money. spoin39 Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 Basically, they just look better than the stock tube! Quote
bansha60 Posted May 2, 2004 Report Posted May 2, 2004 You wont see a massive hp gain, come on guys, its 30 bucks!.lol. What it does is that it stores atomized fuel and gives you snappier throttle responce, and a little bit more topend. Its alot better than the balancer tube! Quote
2004LEBanshee Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 gave me 13 hp. so you guys are full of shit. Quote
spoin39 Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 It works the best if you polish it inside and out, get into all the corners for the smoothest flow possible. Put something in the holes that would connect to the intake boots, something that will be air tight. After you get all that done grab your favorite fishing pole and bait, tie the shiny boost bottle to your line about 16-20" from the bait and cast away! It works great as a bobber! Quote
yamaha350 Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 i have a drag 7mm and had a drag 350. there was no diffrence with the balance tube, the boost bottle or with them pluged off. so i threw them both in the trash and got some pro design intakes wothout the holes for the tube. buying a boost bottle is like putting helium in your tires to make the bike lighter, waist of time. . Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 someone on here did a dyno run with one on and off, and got a 2 hp decrease (variance in dyno runs is + or - 2 hp) so it didnt change a thing, and the rpm curve was exactly the same. Quote
Blue Duece Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 Its alot better than the balancer tube! no it aint.....the boost bottle is a turd.....post a dyno with and without one..... Quote
