Banshee Flyer

I wouldn't advise lock tighting it, is it one of those washers that you have to pound over the nut so it won't loosen? I was going to check but you have to take off the shifter to access it, but then you hvae to take off the pegs so i decidede not to. Can you remember how it was when you took it off? Use that to help. Edit: As long as there isn't a way for the locktight to get into the clutch basket or in between the plates, otherwise go for it

There is no way that thing is pumping out 50+ ponies. i'm guessing 40 to 45.

lol, that must of sucked. I started on a LT 80 and i rolled it the first day i had a new light (i was so excited to finally go on a night ride) anyway, i was going across the beach grass area and turned. Worst mistake i made, flipped rolled twice AND BROKE THE LIGHT!!! I was crushed, but my uncle fixed it and made me a happy little camper (no pun intended)

Well, actually he is a moron. Believe me i know, he's not good enough for a banshee anyway.

My uncles banshee blew up last 5 days ago, we think it blew a piston. Anyway, since i'm the smallest and lightest (5' 3" 100 pounds) i get to ride on the broken bike and get roosted by my dad (who has the tow strap) for about 8 miles. It sucks to be me. . . .

I hope that i will go, my dad is undecided. Anyway, i was wondering how many of you guys are going.

Yeah, my cousin did a similar thing at the sand dunes in Florence, Oregon. His older bro was nailing a huge double (about 30 feet long and 15 deep) on his banshee, so here comes my idiotic cousin on his blaster pegged in 4th or 5th hits the launch, flies through the air. And lands with the pegs on the lip of the landing. He flew off the bike and broke his collar bone when the bike came crashing down on him. Moron. . . .

I was also worried about the banshee getting a bad rep for this, and why is it always the bikes fault? Come one people, thats like saying guns and knives kill people, not the people who pull the trigger/stab someone.

This may be a stupid answer, but did you over adjust your cable tightener? Like by the clutch lever?

I know the boost bottle "increases throttle response and low end power" but does it really work? In other words, is it worth the $30? And what does it do?

Ugh, ditto. I friend of my dad's took a corner fast and that little piece bent forward, flung him 15 feet and tweaked the handlbars. He was really sore afterwards.

Banshees are the best bikes i've ever riden. I ride mine in my field, on logging trails, Skitter Trails, woods (i blaze my own trails), and of course the dunes. If you're planning on slower, mud and water type trails, go with some kind of four stroke. I'm not saying that banshees suck in the mud, but you have to keep them fairly high revved and can't lug around in 3rd gear. As far as power goes, these things have the most (as far as i've found). They are great for dunes and trails alike. Go to Cycle Trader for good prices.
