streetshee Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 can someone give me some tips on jumping my shee? i mean like take off ,when you need to come down nose first should you give less or no gas as yer take off? ive heard that you can hep in the air by blippin the throttle thus making the torque reaction of the wheels bring the nose down? i dont know cos my thing is tarmac ridin, but sometimes i go off road and nearly killmeself tryin the table tops!!! how do u do it ? sorry im a twat, should of put thiss in mx forum Quote
stealthawd Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 blipping the throttle will lift your front end...hitting your brake will bring the front end down. when you hit the apex of the jump, compress the suspension by letting off the throttle and hitting it again and by physically pushing down with your body...this will allow your suspension to help launch you in the air as you leave the ramp... streetshee Posted March 26, 2004 Author Report Posted March 26, 2004 now its a bit clearer, anymore tips anyone? its just that im startin supermoto racin this season, sometimes theres a couple of off road sections and very fast near flat out (but not too big) jumps, dont want an arse or nose down at 100kmh! stealthawd Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 in a racing scenario, remember that big air looks kewl, but slows you down if you are using all of your energy to go up. try to keep the bike moving forward instead of up if you follow me. basically, just clear the jump without too much upward movement. SCOTT PRESSLEY Posted March 28, 2004 Report Posted March 28, 2004 What he said ,and just before you land get on the throttle it will pull you out of the landing and you want land as hard.Forward motion is the key Quote

00BANSHEE Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 I wish we had supermoto out here in Kansas. Quote
streetshee Posted March 29, 2004 Author Report Posted March 29, 2004 supermoto is a bit different than tt isnt it? Quote
SCOTT PRESSLEY Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 yes,TT is mostly flat with turns kinda like an Indy race some have a few small jumps thow.Supercross has big air and timing sections woops most times and killer to ride also tight turns Quote
broke Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 I think he was aking the diiference between TT and Supermoto. Similar but different. Supermoto from what I have seen is like half tarmac, half hard pack dirt with a few jumps thrown in that may not be made out of dirt. But it looks like a flat track set up with a little more suspension travel is what is usually run. broke Quote
ledofthezep Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 I wish we had supermoto out here in Kansas. No joke, we get the hose around here! At least we're fairly close to LS. Quote
