got1banshee Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 I went out riding in the field behind my house for about and hour. I was riding really hard WOT banging gears poping wheelies. You all may call me a pussy but my god damn arms hurt like a bitch. Especialy my right arm and thumb muscle. Now when they say that this engine has arm ripping power, IT DOES!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
NAXbansheeman11 Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Sounds like its time to get a twist throttle might help alittle. Glad to hear u like your bike i can't wait to finish my rebuild Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 yup, lots of people get it at the track, arm pump, and thumb pump, went to a twist throttle and drank water and it goes away mostly Quote
got1banshee Posted March 14, 2004 Author Report Posted March 14, 2004 Thats whats wierd, I have a twist throttle. Quote
. Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Pop a few ibuprofen before you go riding, it'll thin your blood and reduce fatigue in your arms. If you havent been able to ride in a while your muscles need to readjust to it as well Quote
sredish Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 What kind of bars do you run? Maybe time to get an AntiVibe stem and some fat bars. Quote
tats4life Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 i think it's the motor than if ya already got a twist on her. hell i just got done riding 18 miles of trail twice and I'm not even sore, but I probably won't be able to get outta the bed tomorrow Quote
SCOTT PRESSLEY Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 You'll get use to it ,and water does help. Quote
bansheefreak Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 think your arms hurt now wait till after that first day down at the dunes... especailly if there is alot of traffic and sand is wet... if sand is real dry it won't be as bad... duners know what i mean... Quote
thecabinboy Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Fill your bars with silicone to reduce vibration. Quote

I've been beat to shit before from the ruts in moist or wet sand at the dunes. Damn near bucked me off my bike before. When I get done on a semi rainy weekend I'm way way more tired than if it was hot. Honestly I like the windy weekends the most because it smooths the sand out, and everyday its new again. Quote
Stuff Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Fill your bars with silicone to reduce vibration. Really? sounds like a good idea. What kind of silicone? spray? Quote
bri98 Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Not spray! Silicone in a caulking tube. Quote
thecabinboy Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Yea I used black silicone and trimmed the ends off with a razor blade, looks sharp. Quote
fixitrod Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Maybe you need to relax a little when you ride. I've seen people riding and it looks like they are fighting the quad. Try to loosen up when you can. Quote
