reas11 Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 cut the plastics, get a graphics kit .. just a few ways Quote
2001SSTBanshee Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 Spray it with WD- 40 after you wash it real good. (not the brakes) It'll give it that wet shine look and kkep that ugly surface rust off. Quote
evil Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 on the trail, go really fast so all they see is a blur, on the showroom, clean it really good and give it a coat of furniture polish. and no matter how dirty it is, shiny wheels seem to make it look clean. Quote
checkster Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 i little soap and water usually doesnt hurt. Quote
BansheeEaterKXF Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 a few things that really stands out is a nice set of rims with the hubs powder coated or painted and a nice seat cover dont hurt your pocket book to bad Quote
Otis Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 I used Plexis on the plastics, and (something)2001 < like armor all, on the seat and tires once. (for a photo) Skin industries has some pretty cool graphics out. doing the hubs was another good idea too. I've never tried the WD-40 thing...Thanks for the tip! Quote
evil Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 be forwarned on the wd 40 thing. in about 2 days your wd 40 coated parts will start to grow fuzz, then youll have to shave it Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 I used Plexis on the plastics, and (something)2001 < like armor all, on the seat and tires once. (for a photo) I would strongly recomend not putting armoral on the seat! it gets sooo slippery you wont be able to stay on Quote
stclark04 Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 acerbis handgaurds look real good, they arent too expensive, plus if u ride trails they are perfect, im glad i bought a set, they have saved my hands from limps and trees many times, plus they make ur banshee look good too, if u wanna know what they look like on a banshee just click my link in my signature, i got some pictures. Chemical Castration Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 I used Plexis on the plastics, and (something)2001 < like armor all, on the seat and tires once. (for a photo) I would strongly recomend not putting armoral on the seat! it gets sooo slippery you wont be able to stay on Yeah but its funny as shit watching somebody trying to ride a bike with a slippery seat!! Another good way to make your bike look good is that you could spend alot of $$$$$ and get a custom paint job! I've seen a kit in stores before that's supposed to remove small scratches and make your plastics look brand new again but I dont know if that works. Quote
theeechozen1 Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 lol, reminds me of the time I armoralled my steering wheel before going 4wheelin..fun time that was Quote
Wassup350 Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 I usually find what ever stickers i have and put them on the scratches. Quote
Justintoxicated Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 Paint the stock frill, cut plastics, shiny rims, clear radiator hoses. Not sure how much $$ it costs to poweder coat hubs? But maybe you could paint them if you don't have alot of $$ Sticker kits... etc... Quote
