lian Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 ok when ever i sit on the banshee it makes a squeaking sounds when the shocks are moving up down slowly is it the shocks or the joints Quote
Banshee0028 Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Could be either...Mine seemed like the shocks...I would first try to take the rear shock spring and move it around a bit if you can...If no luck, you can take the shock off and clean the washers/bearings in the mounts....Something in there is rubbing causing the squeak. ruff_rida69 Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 mine does that if I don't ride for a couple days, all I do is spray the shaft with wd-40 and then put some grease on it and it works like brand new again. Quote
Holyman Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 sometimes it's the Aarm pivots or even the skid plates if they are bent or loose. Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 sometimes it's the Aarm pivots or even the skid plates if they are bent or loose. this is what im guessing. make sure everything is properly greased and such. mine sqeaks and i know its the swingarm pivot bolt. have someone get on it and move around so it makes the noise. then listen to where its comin from. that may help u find it easier. Aussie Quad Racer Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 the pivots in the front shocks tend to go a bit crappy if not serviced regular. check those out. Is it coming from front or rear? Quote
lian Posted January 30, 2004 Author Report Posted January 30, 2004 yah its coming from the rear if i do riding for a bit it will go away but can come back but my skid plate is really dinged after seeing how much abuse it takes im thinking of getting skid plate and i do alot of riding in rough stuff like edgeed rocks that are on the way to certian ridaing areas but i think if i just pound out the skid once in a while i will not need a skid thanks for replies Quote
