LanceG60 Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 If the fuel is on, all the fuel that the tank is giving the motor just spills out the tube on the right hand side on the bottom. I believe it is the overflow tube on the right carb. Why would it do this? If I take of it bogs a little bit but then it starts using the fuel and drives normal, but if I come to a stop it will just have a constant flow of gas and spill all over the ground. It is progessively getting worse over the past 2 weeks. It used to do it off and on, now it does it all the time and I can't make it stop. Any advice would be cool. Thanks. Quote
sand rocket Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 you probly have a stuck float in the bowl. Try cleaning the carb and measure the float hight. Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 float is stuck. something is probably keeping that stop (dont know exactly what the hell its called) from goin up. happened to me and i got an inline fuel filter. hasnt happened since. Quote
banshee tuner Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 Check your float height and if that does not fix the problem the worst it could be is you need a new needle and seat which is under the float and controls the fuel coming in. It shuts off the fuel coming into the bowl when it fills up. Quote
LanceG60 Posted December 14, 2003 Author Report Posted December 14, 2003 thanks a lot I'm gonna go pull the carbs and check it out Quote
BdBanshee Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 Probably just a small piece of dirt in your needle and seat. Usually you can clean it out and it will work fine. If you are lucky, you can just tap the side of the carb bowl with the plastic end of a screwdriver and it will stop. Quote
banshee0044 Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 its probably the needle and the seat...i had this problem with my cr250 bike...i replaced the needle and cleaned the shit out of it...it runs great now Quote
