  1. ya...I was hitting it with a sledge on a punch and it just drove the punch into the hole in the bolt. So then I took the sledge straight to the bolt and it still never moved. Thats why I'm resorting to the torches.
  2. Ya I tried everything I could at home...tomorrow it comes to work with me and is getting torched. I'll heat it first but I think I'm just gonna cut the swingarm so I have to get a new one heh.
  3. How much was everyone paying for sandblasting?
  4. The nut is off one side, and I can spin the side with the head of the bolt on it, but it won't come out. I smashed it with a hammer and it wouldn't come out so now I need a new bolt...but what is going on. I at least need to get this one out.
  5. Lemme know...I'm grinding the thing down to bare metal because I can't get all the dirt off. I have done everything but I need a better way. Let me know..thanks
  6. 1. Stock swingarm 2. Carrier 3. Airbox with lid 4. Rear sprocket hub 5. The little piece that connects the arm with the rear shock on it to the swingarm. I would say its about 6 inches in length Lemme know if anyone has any of this stuff...post here or email me [email protected]
  7. All these 400z kids and other 4-stroke friends say I'm crazy to let a Banshee idle when I'm letting it warm up, or if I leave it alone for a minute. I figure its ok for it to idle, I mean it seems ridiculous. I just want some feedback because I'm 100% sure I'm not hurting a thing by letting it idle. They say I'll foul plugs but the last thing I want to do is rev it when the thing is cold... P.S. I think they are just trying to find a fault in the Bansh because I've beaten them by bus lengths on the pavement
  8. I have that pro-flow adapter with a foam fileter with no lid on the box. Not the way I'd want it but I just havent found an airbox yet. The guy hacked this one and it touched the exhaust pipe so its all messed up.
  9. Yes my ignition is stock, and I live at sea level. If I went to 20cc domes what would be a safe gas to run? What I'm running now or would I be going back to pump gas? This is starting to go off topic but oh well maybe that is the answer rather than messing with what my setup is now. I'm planning on switching the thing to 2 pipes and getting some carbs in a couple weeks...so if it would be better to pick up 20cc domes I'll do it all at the same time.
  10. well I ran pump gas and I was told that is why I blew the last top end, plus it was the stock top end from a 90 so I guess it was due. The side of one of my pistons had a hole in it and that scared me. But the bike has been running rich from what I see because my plugs are pretty black. I'm wondering if I should just move the needle back and try these same mains again? But then again I could have just been running rich because my float is stuck. I was fixing that and that is when I checked the jets.
  11. Ok here are my mods. Cool head, 19cc domes, Dyno Port 2-1 pipe, stock carbs and reeds. I run 117 50/50 with 94 mixed 32:1. I just pulled the carbs and my needle is down one slot from the center and I have 240 mains. Now I'm thinking 240's are way too small for what I have because I see people running 280's on stock bikes with just pipes. Plus the temp around here is getting cold, most days have been in the 20's. What should I start with? 300? Over 300? Should I put the needle back to stock? I just want to start over because the jetting hasnt been changed since the previous owner had it, and I already know more about this thing than he did and I'm brand new to Banshees so I don't trust his setup. I also did a tope end in the thing a couple weeks ago so I don' really wanna blow it up again.
  12. thanks a lot I'm gonna go pull the carbs and check it out
  13. If the fuel is on, all the fuel that the tank is giving the motor just spills out the tube on the right hand side on the bottom. I believe it is the overflow tube on the right carb. Why would it do this? If I take of it bogs a little bit but then it starts using the fuel and drives normal, but if I come to a stop it will just have a constant flow of gas and spill all over the ground. It is progessively getting worse over the past 2 weeks. It used to do it off and on, now it does it all the time and I can't make it stop. Any advice would be cool. Thanks.
  14. Thanks for the info I'll check it out tomorrow when I have some light.
  15. The only way I can move my bike with it turned off is to have it in neutral. I can't have it in gear and push it, the wheels just are locked. Now I know this can't be good because the situation probly isnt changing when the bike is running, so I'm thinging my clutch is not fully letting go. But when the engine is running I come to a stop and pull the clutch, I don't roll anywhere...it acts as if the clutch is disengaged. I adjusted the clutch at the lever and it didn't do anything. Should I care about this and try and fix it or is it normal? I could have sworn i could pull the clutch in my friends bike and push it while in gear.
  16. Even if I put it to OFF, it keeps a slow leak of fuel coming out. Is there a seal in that valve that goes or something? Figured I'd ask before I take it apart.
  17. Going back to 2 pipes. Would like to get $115 shipped. Email for pics [email protected].

    Black Plastics

Hey I need black plastics.....if anyone has some for sale please let me know. [email protected]
  19. Hey do you have any pictures of the swingarm? I'm very interested. Email me [email protected]
  20. So I have everything stock but Cool Head and 19cc domes, 2 to 1 Dyno Port exhaust. What is the biggest jet size I should start at? I run 100 straight mixed 32:1.
  21. Hey do you still have the FMF pipes and silencers? I'm interested email me at [email protected]
  22. I'll check next time I ride, but it pulls harder than ever since I just did my top end so I'm thinking they are both firing. What does detonation sound like in these quads? I always watch out for that in my car because of my supercharger but could that be what I am calling an early rev limiter? Thats just the best way I can explain it. Sort of like it just breaks up slightly before you think you should shift. If I go through all the gears quick, I can avoid it. What do you think? I mean the bike is lifting the wheels going into 3rd so thats what makes me think the power is there from both cyls.
  23. bump
  24. It seems like my Banshee doesnt wanna let the gears rev out as far as they want to. I had this problem before, and I just did a top end and rode it easy today and it still does it. It seem like it is hitting rev limiter (or gives the same feeling) very quick. Its just like youre in powerband then BADABAP! Haha hope that gets my point across. What would cause this?
