Head gasket went out..can I use old one with thin layer of gasket maker

My new head gasket went out would it be ok to use old one that was working good when taken off with a thin layer of high temp gasket maker.  No way to order nee gasket right now .

What is the old one made off?
That's quite risky thing to do and I would highly recommend not to do it.
If the old gasket is made of metal I assume you can get away with using Hight temp gasket maker, I did on the turbo car running 22 psi,but that was because it was my only car and I had to wait 2-3 weeks before getting new gasket, I replaced it as soon as I got it.

Its metal it has some kind of paint coating it that blue out and made it do that my old is the same way but its lifting up in a fue places

Where can I buy a head with o rings that will fit a stock banshee

seems like ive reused cr5 metal head gaskets with alittle fipg and it worked fine. with 2cylinders the top decks have to be flat across the whole plane. im thinking you torqed the cylinders first and one was a bit crooked which made the head gasket leak. next time try dropping the cylinders on the case but dont tighten the nuts yet. put the head on and fully torq it. then torq down the cylinders. from my experience, metal gaskets work just as well as orings but no matter what head u use, the top decks have to be flat to each other

I left the cylinder unbolted before putting head on it then put head on then cross tighten the cylinder head then tighten the Cylinders

I think I’d figure out why it’s blowing the gasket first. If running correctly, and tightened correctly, they RARELY go bad.

I mean what would cause that?.. runs fine  cylinder is even no cracks I'm just thinking it's the cheep gasket

Never mind I just now figured it out the stud bolt hole is stripped out

Ty but probably go with heli coil that's way over price
