TWIST THROTTLE CONVERSION

Got a Motion Pro twist throttle kit...do i need to get any other parts to install this? I think the tors kit is included in it, but i saw something about an idle kit? I thought the kit covered everything

If you remove the TORS you need to drill and tap the holes on the outsides of the carbs to install the new idle screws since the TORS have the idle adjustment on them originally.

Is your twist throttle a 1/4 turn... If not, you're going to hate it

If you have larger carbs you will want to order the longer adjusters that thread in to the carb tops.

Its a 1/4 turn...my friend gave it to me when he sold his bike(he never installed)....maybe its more hassle than its worth.....i  like twist throttles better, but its not a huge deal if i have one...why is a 1/2 turn worse than a 1/4? Thats not even something i considered.

First time I hit a set of whoops with twist throttle on a quad.....

Last time I rode any quad with a twist throttle.

Stupid dangerous.

I think anyone who starts on a bike is able to hang on. Although I did have a couple close calls as a youngster.

That was interesting.

I put a thumb on all my 2stroke mx bikes when I had them. I personally can ride twice as good with them instead of the twist. I mean can ride a bike with a twist, but it really limits me on my confidence on moving my bodyweight around.. Just takes cable from a 250r an your favorite throttle housing to make it happen.

Rode a twist on a 400ex.. never again will I ride one on a quad unless it was a drag bike.

I had twist throttles on every quad I've owned... 1/4 turn just allows you to get to WFO without regripping the throttle

I've never owned one with a thumb. I bought my first one specifically because it was a twist since I started on bikes. I rode my buddy's 400ex as a kid and said no way to thumb.

On a dirt/road bike you lean to turn, on a quad, you turn/use the handle bar...

 

That's why you have a thumb throttle on quads and snowmows.

I have a twist throttle on all banshees .

I love my twist throttle. I was hillclimbing with the thumb throttle and my thumb locked up and i rolled my banshee. Will never run thumb again. But i have also been racing dirtbikes for 14 years..
