    check the play on the clutch lever. If there is too much it wil idle but will not rev. This happen to a cousins son and it was a 97 model.

    I am taking a guess and say the stator is chinese. I bought one off ebay and it was wired the same way. The only way to get it to work is to reverse the wires. I through the junk in the gargage. Lesson learned.

    A longer rod does not increase the cc. Only bore and stroker crank will increase cc.
