thought it was UNDER half turn. 27.5 was lean for him I would just ride it and see how it is and keep it till its warm since the weather swings r sporadic according to OP.   and brock usually most bone stock motors with pipes and filters are fine with a 25 or 27.5.  Ride it and see how it is and dont think twice if its good.

Just called and ordered 32.5 and 35 pilots. All symptoms it's having it's acting like it's wanting more fuel down low but from what I read 27.5 should be good for my setup. But maybe there's more done to the motor than I know hopefully the bigger pilots will tell me something.

Make sure all ur electrical stuff is sorted out as well or u will be chasing your tail.

not like bigger jets will blow it up. good luck

It runs great once you get off the idle circuit and up on the needle and the main. that leads me to think the electrical is fine. Still bugs me that it's wanting a bigger pilot.

Just tried the 32.5 and 35 pilot jets with the same outcome boggs off idle unless I’m about 1/4 -1/2 turn out on the air screw. I went back and compression tested both cylinders with about 115 in both cylinders and did a leakdown test and it held 6psi well over 6 min.

What needle do you have, toomey pipes work best with toomey needle. You could have some oddball needle ,off idle usually is a taper issue once you start using bigger jets. Use the smallest pilot you can without a hanging idle , change the needle, leave the 300 main for now . Also make sure your cable retainers on the top of slide are in correctly with vent hole visible
