thinking of a 450 myself. Which one is more reliable yamaha or honda? :spam:
Both about the same.
The new yfzR will out handle any bike on the market. Stock it does better then my banshee.
Honda is cheaper to work with and makes power d with less work.

Both need the oil changes and valves checked. I'll get another yfzR before anything else just on the handling alone.

^^ agreed
Hondas will make more power with less $$
Yamaha takes more $$ to get more power
Both bikes are maintenance queens needs oil changes constantly and valves shimmed every so often both are good bikes but I have found hondas to be more reliable

Why do I guys think that 4 strokes are better bikes then 2 strokes? I like the sound of a 2 stroke but was always under the impression that they were a lot meaner of bikes. Am I miss I informed?

The new 4 stroke bikes all have superior chassis' and the way 4 strokes make power is much different. They tend to have an instant torque feeling so you can make far less gear changes and not need to abuse the clutch to rev it and get it on the pipe like two strokes. They really are easier to ride but don't provide that "Oh Shiiiiit!" factor you get when a two stroke gets on the pipe and revs out.
