vrx46 Posted November 17, 2016 Report Posted November 17, 2016 Polished shit on a GNCC bike? That's like banging a hooker without a condom... It's stupid... oh well, less polished heads the better i look then Quote
sleeper06 Posted November 18, 2016 Report Posted November 18, 2016 I actually have years of testing it at the track on this subject and it's substantial on cool down between runs. I used to document everything after run , temps was one of them. 1 Quote

registered user Posted November 18, 2016 Report Posted November 18, 2016 since when does being a builder make you knowledgable in any subject? any yahoo can self proclaim the title of builder. actually you dont need to know much about engines to know how thermaldynamic stuff apllies here, which blows your builder comment out of the water. while im thinking of it how many so called builders around here have any formal training in the working principals of a 2t engine ? ClaudeMachining Posted November 18, 2016 Report Posted November 18, 2016 Listen to builders, not assemblers. Practice must match theory. Quote

ClaudeMachining Posted November 18, 2016 Report Posted November 18, 2016 Guys, it's not a pissing contest... I just want to know how many deg higner was the operating temp of a pc vs non pc engine. My guess is less than 5deg F. We are talking about heat transfert. A small coat of paint cant make a good running engine over temp, i dont buy that at all. Like i said, maybe on a pipe, wich is thin walled and doesnt have the same 'cooling mode' as a LC engine with thick wall and coolant circulating. Quote
registered user Posted November 18, 2016 Report Posted November 18, 2016 claude on a running engine i cant see the temp being much higher than 5* with pc like you say. because the primary majority of waste heat is carried away by water and likely very little heat is shed through radiation. with the engine off i think its only cooling would be radiation so IF the pc was a great heat blanket then i suppose maybe the cylinder would stay hot for longer. but i cant see one drag run creating so much heat that the cooling system cant cope and it needing excessive cool down time. operating temp should only be around 130* for gas or methanol. ClaudeMachining Posted November 19, 2016 Report Posted November 19, 2016 Good info here lol Do you have 'real' numbers on lc pc vs lc non pc running temp?? That's all i want to know. Likei said reality must match theory. Quote

ClaudeMachining Posted November 19, 2016 Report Posted November 19, 2016 Use common cents FFS That's not an aswer. I want numbers. Quote
JTmachining Posted November 19, 2016 Report Posted November 19, 2016 That's not an aswer. I want numbers.Theory doesn't always align with reality. Cyl temp n water temp also are two diff temps Quote
