sheerider11 Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 Got around to just putting these things on. Those were my old ones. Drilled stockers. The bolt heads kept popping off. But better then a cracked piped. I loc tite the Allen heads and hand tighten until I get my set point. Done. Took about 2.5 minutes. Hell yes. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk Quote
n2otoofast4u Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 I'll be interested how long those internal thread isolators last. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk Quote
ClaudeMachining Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 Thx for the mini review ;-) The isolators are industrial isolators for electric motor. They did good so far on my bike (1 season) Plus, they are easy to get and cheap (about 2.50$) That's what i like about those hangers, when the rubber will be done, you buy 2 other isolators and you good to go! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk a lot of dirtbikes use the rubber pieces with internal threads, some exactly the same style as claudes, some are slightly different but same concept. the main thing that breaks down the rubber over time is when the pipe bracket is not parallel with the rubber isolater. one edge of the rubber is being compressed and the other edge is being pulled apart if that makes sense 1 Quote
