Burt Reynolds Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 (edited) Theres a video floating around facebook that claims the banshee in it dynoed 300hp. In the video it looks like an average drag run. This got me thinking. Is 300hp even possible without getting nasa engineers involved? aftermarket cases/tranny/cylinders etc? trickedcarbine Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 2 cyl massive twins like Scimitars, Caracals, sniper big block, etc., are flirting with 200hp. But certainly not 300. (There are a handful of multi cylinder set ups that have hit 300 though)Maybe toss some N2O at it or boost like the monster Stimbert/Tyson built, but at that point it's definitely stock based parts. We're talking Billit cases, Billit cranks, Billit tranny parts and lots of custom machined parts. Quote
registered user Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 nasa doesn't know jack shit about 2t engines. youd be just as well off with some walmart janitors. and don't bother calling the Chinese them dumb sumbitches cant even steal a carb and make a good replica 1 Quote
Burt Reynolds Posted May 19, 2016 Author Report Posted May 19, 2016 By banshee based I mean still a banshee engine. You can build an entire banshee engine with aftermarket,so that would be banshee based in my book Quote
registered user Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 sorry creampuff but theres a big difference between a fantasy piston and a real piston used in a championship winning 2t engine Quote

JTmachining Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 So still factory cylinders and cases? Or billet cases and any cylinders/turbo/nitrous etc? It's clear. Banshee based Quote
