special06shee Posted March 27, 2016 Report Posted March 27, 2016 If you grind the slots on the swing arm, where adjusters sit, it will give you more adjustment. Or just buy a half link. But yes, a round house is a great upgrade. Quote
camp0429 Posted March 27, 2016 Report Posted March 27, 2016 you sure you're running a 14/41? I went to 13front and had to grind the slot forward to shorten my chain to fit. ^^done the same myself, take the lower bolt out of your carrier and you can swing it up out of the way, you'll see slots in the swinger itself where the bottom bolt has some room to move back and forth depending on chain length, just remove some material from the front part of the slots and you will be able to remove a link and move your chain farther forward Quote
Buster91dg Posted March 27, 2016 Author Report Posted March 27, 2016 Yeah I would rather grind and fab than that link id hate for that little link to break and threw my case Quote
J-Madd Posted March 27, 2016 Report Posted March 27, 2016 Put chain together and roll it onto the sprocket. It may ding a couple of teeth but it will go. And it won't be as tight as you think. I even do this with aluminum sprockets if I'm in a hurry. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted March 27, 2016 Report Posted March 27, 2016 You could always get thishttp://www.niagaracycle.com/categories/kmc-415h-half-link-single-1-2-x-3-16-black?gclid=CLiZ38CO4csCFcxZhgodLz4K2w That's what I used. Quote
Buster91dg Posted March 27, 2016 Author Report Posted March 27, 2016 I can now get the chain on but it is pretty tight if I grind a little more on each side it will be where it is supposed to be Quote
Buster91dg Posted March 27, 2016 Author Report Posted March 27, 2016 Ok I mean if I drop the front sprocket by one tooth I think it may work smoothly. Should I keep grinding a little more 1 Quote
Buster91dg Posted March 27, 2016 Author Report Posted March 27, 2016 Ok I will once my Easter diner is over happy Easter everyone Quote

Scrubby Posted March 27, 2016 Report Posted March 27, 2016 (edited) Why are you stretching a chain that far after 10 hrs? It also looks like the chain is digging into the side of the rear sprocket, chain may be toast. Edited March 27, 2016 by Scrubby Quote

When I fist got the chain I was in between links now since I removed some material now I have perfect chain tension no more clicking the chain was over 100 bucks it's a good pro taper x ring. Quote
