If you damage 1 side on a mono block you still pay for both bores to be plated. If you damage 1 side on a single just take it off and fix the bad 1. I've never hurt both sides at the same time, it's always hurt one and the other looks new still.

My plan is to build a rock solid motor pushing somewhere between 400-450cc, and I know I'm getting off topic. But how does one calculate the squish and all the other important factors that go into making a 2stroke run properly? I appreciate all the knowledge.

For the most part I plan ride through fast trails, but I would also like to be able to take it to the local tracks and air it out a bit. So I'd go more for mid to top end, bc I usually run balls to the wall majority of the time lol

I honestly think you need a ported stock set first.

Going by cc isn't really a good gauge on the setup.

A ported stock stroke can be plenty fast. I've seen a 370 motor fly, can hang with my 4 mil no problem.

Only wish houser would make their A-arms for more than just the 450's and up. Their silcast, high ground clearance, and the trictrac seems like a very awesome setup. Though idk how well they actually work, but 10 out of 10 on the cool factor no doubt.

There is absolutely no way anyone can use all of the power a bolt-on Banshee can offer without upgrading the suspension and controls first, period!!

If you can't get the power to the ground and control it, what's the point?

Suspension and controls first, especially if you're riding Moto-X!!

Oh, and don't forget tires!!

And, since you don't have a Banshee yet, may I ask if you've even ridden one yet?

The answer to that question is no, and that's not what I'm concerned about. I know the banshee is all that and a bag of chips, but something that's good can always be better. What I'm seeking is knowledge, so I get it right the first time and don't have to waste money on stuff I don't need. That's why I asked what all goes into tuning a motor to run properly, because why pay a builder and not know what all he did, when you can do the research yourself and then be your on builder. Besides I haven't figured out the "infinite money" cheat yet.
