I'm for sure no engine builder, but I think anything at or below a +16 mm Stroke and 78 mm bore is fine and reliable for stock cases.   What size motor are you building?

I can think of five DMs 10mm or under off hand that have had case issues.

 

Sure, for a track bike that doesn't make a ton of passes they will likely be fine, but if you put a lot of passes on the bike billet all the way.

I just haven't seen that. But I AM at the track....so I guess that makes sense. Not too much experience observing non track bikes. We've beat the hell outta my 16 MM twister and so far so good.
