Banshee + Water = Problems

Have a 2004 Banshee and am having the same problem that I hear a lot of other people have with them. Everytime I hit any water at all the bike will start screaming wide open throttle and puke all of its coolant out of the radiator. I have been told so many different things that I am looking for a straight forward answer. Some people tell me the rad is no good and has a hole some say it is suppose to do that when it overheats or that my airbox is taking in water. Can someone point me in the correct direction as to how to fix this. Thank you in advance and sorry if this topic has been covered many times before.

So they all do this then, there's no driving them unless there is no water involved. Sand or dry trails only. No fixing this

Water gets in the carb slides and acts like a suction cup and kinda keeps them open. That's just the pre-curser to the motor eating enough water to hydro lock it or even bend/snap rods.

 Depends on how log it's running WFO with no load.

This is (probably) why they invented the TORS.

you never specified on what/or mods you have with your airbox or lack of. that being said, Banshee arent preferred for wet riding, although they are All Terrian Vechiles. So it could be a simple fix by sheltering your Carbs more if you have the intake naked. but ulimtately, stock intake you shouldnt have that much water in your carbs i believe.

OK thanks everyone for the input. I bought the bike with a airbox mod so I might buy a stock box and slap it on.

Man these things are deathly allergic to water just steer clear, stick to dry or thick mud. An air box might help but I've really never understood why guys wanna take their banshees fording.... ?

A puddle is one thing but tryin to make it a jet ski is another issue. I cross creeks and go through small puddles if need be at times and im runnin pods, several guys i ride with are as well, but we dont go blastin across foot deep water either

Well i think my banshee is WAY more reliable in the mud than a fuckin ford anyway. But i have no problems with my banshee in the water i have to cross a 3 ft creek every time i ride my trails but i also have a stock box with a lid still

I have no air box on mine, flew through some water where the 4x4 were going and at the other end had a momentary bog but kept'er going and all was good.
