Went to 40 Lectrons on methanol last weekend and its the best thing I ever did. Couple turns on the metering rod and couple turns on the power jet and it was dialed and screaming. Super easy to tune and great power. Best alky carbs hands down.

If they are setup CORRECTLY they are a pretty simple transition. I think there are other carbs out there that make more power, and there are carbs out there that cost less, but overall the lectrons are a pretty good gig.

You mess with "Crank Shop" carbs?

Some of the early ones with no idle circuit with the jet in the back of the bells. They were JUNK, but it's my understanding they changed some things as time went on. I really struggled with them.

well Ive dealt with pwks on alky on friends bikes and it wasnt easy to get them dialed. Its alot of time. these on the other hand, the adjustments went quick and easy. their was no guess work. so I am pleased

Maybe it was in the initial setup?

Mine were set up by Redline. I changed the pilot one size and adjusted the PJ and it was good to go.

And I had zero alky tuning experience. Currently, I have zero +1% tuning experience.
