I finally got my shee to idle correctly and now its breaking up on the top end. The low and the mids are great but the top sucks. heres what ive got.

96 shee fresh top end

boysen reeds

FMF pipes and silencers

K&N with outerwears (running with the airbox lid off)

25 pilots and 260 mains and stock needle position

running amsoil 32:1

I only got one reply on my other post for 30 pilots and 300 mains. Please let me know what everyone else thinks. If it matters i am in georgia about 900 feet above sea level

Thanks for all the help

Sounds rich but with a 260 main and no lid thats imposible unless the filter or outerwear is cloged. I would first remove the K&N and Outerwear and get some industrial degreaser and soak for a minute and clean it and the outerwear real good. Then after it dries out completely get the aresol oil spray and give it a light even coat of oil and then pat dry and carefully put the outerwear on without getting it to touch the oily k&N and then see what it does, you should now be able to properly rejet. If it still breaks up at the top I would look into something electircal like possibly the stator.

i personally would try around the 290's and 30 pilots cuz i am at your elevtaion and no one i ride with that has their lid taken off is runnin less than that with roughly the same mods as you.

You are lean dude. I would put in 27.5 pilots and start at 300 mains, especially with the cool temps you are seeing.

I am running a 2:1 air filter with 30 pilots and 370 mains and my bike pulls like a raped ape. And I am at 1500' elevation, but at Glamis I am lower. B)

I agree with everyone else: go bigger on the mains. I couldn't find your other post so not sure what was going on with your idle, but I would guess you'd want to start with 330 mains, 30 pilots, airscrews 1.5 turns out, and needle one clip position leaner than stock (2nd slot from the top)...BUT if you think the jetting is good up to about 3/4 throttle just go up on the mains until it bogs at WOT and then drop a size (or start big and work down). Good luck.

I would still go higher if I were you. A lean bike will run very good, but not for long. You should go up on the mains until you start bogging, then go down 1 size. My buddy has FMFs and runs 350 mains at Glamis and bike runs great.

my problem ended up being my air screws, i had the same problem as you and i was running 280 mains, try your air screws at 1/2 each time and see what it does, i know every1 says the air screws is the ideling and 1/4 throtle but thats what sorted out my top end
