Joejr915 Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 I got a 521 running 500ft. Gas motor, 39 pwks +10 timing what for timing are guys running on motors? Tring to compare 300ft motors to 1/8mile motors. My motors fells like it quits pulling when I hit 5th. Could I have too much timing? Quote

There are a few variables that could be making the motor just go flat up top. Timing, compression, exhaust, head/dome design. Quote

m671054 Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 Fuel valve type and tank cap vent specifics please. Also billet bowls? Does it fall ob its face or just doesnt quite rev out right? Its either starving for fuel or geared a little high. Gears tires and weight info would help also Quote

Joejr915 Posted August 1, 2014 Author Report Posted August 1, 2014 2.375 gear ratio with 2.81 primary just quits pulling a shorter and I think I have 1.8 float valve. 39pwk with 48p 178m 1.5-2 on the air screw and with dgh needle. I have shearer supercub pipes Quote
