Maybe I will switch to Lawnboy or Huskavarna never hear anything bad about these and I have tons of it from mover and chainsaw.
PassionRE
927 will not clog up your motor. It is quite possibly the best oil you can buy at any price. Its film strength and bearing protection are as good as anything available...Jim
Oilsmoke
What is the self life of Castor base oils mixed with gas?
jrfastbanshee
I have ran 927 in my banshee for about 9 years now with no problems. Very little build up on the pistons when torn down every 3 years. I have heard that bikes with powervalves might clog up...but maybe that is just the maintance they require. I have no idea of shelf life. I have let fuel sit for 6 months mixed and just shook it and poured. If the gas is still good I can't imagine the oil going bad or disappearing. teamriot
Castor 927 is one of the top shelf oils out there. Everyone has opinions on what they like or use. What were they mixing it at ratio? and how fat was the bike running? Dont mix more premix fuel that you will use for the day if possible. In time leaving the premix sitting the oil starts to break down and looses its lubercation properties. NOT A GOOD THING!!! For gas just sitting around for months and months put it in your car it wont care, but in a performance quad its not smart , they make a product called Stable for gas that will sit for a period of time. I would not use premix oil in my performance quad that was more than two weeks old my motor is not worth it!! If you ride hard and fast with a lot of racing it's just not worth it. 3.5gal + oil say 9 bucks worth the fresh 93oct premix money will spent. Good Luck

wheeleymaster99
bansheejerry you should start useing castor oil its what i think is the best 2-stroke oil. you can get it out of almost any atv parts mag or just an atv shop
BansheeJerry
I will look into it. The only 2 stroke I have ever had any experience with is my weed eater. I used basically any 2 stroke oil avaliable. Now with the shee I though Mobil 1 synthetic would work. If there is better oil I will certainally use it. I am not one to think anything I use is the best. You all are the experts... If you all say there is a better oil for my shee I will get it.. Thanks... mcaf29
I too love 927, take a look in the images at my crank, its not gummed up at all after a year of riding. I have a question about old premix. I got a tank full of 927 mix but I'm rebuilding my motor so I gotta run 2r for the break in. Can I really throw that premix in my truck to burn. Let me first say my truck is a POS and I don't care too much about it just that it won't clog the fuel injectors and die. I figure it doesn't clog tiny pilot jets so it shouldn't clog the injectors. I've also had that question about 4 stroke ATV's. One day my buddy needed gas for his raptor but I only had premix. We ended up siphoning gas from my R6. Could he have run the premix in his raptor? Leadfoot350
good shit for sure. Might also look into amisol oil also. I heard that a bunch of guys run that as well and the guys in my group run bellray blue stuff. It is nice to see your mix so that you dont forget it. I dont know why they just dont put in a dye. Damm I am drunk!!!!!!!!!!!!!
camatv
i know i am going to catch hell for this but i dont care castor 927 is derived from CASTOR BEANS it is a natural lubricant that the old farts invented for 2 strokes a long long time ago it is considered a novelty now and i feel it is junk it lubes good dont get me wrong but i have seen it crud up in the exhaust not in the engine that is what happens it builds up in the exhaust port and pipes itself i have had a few motors that have a lot of carbon in the exhaust port after using 927 for a while i use jetski oils they are cheap but well made. maxima makes an oil that usually runs about 14-16 dollars for a GALLON not pint or quart but GALLON i have used this for about 6 years and a lot of people that i ride with use it now everytime i tear down an engine there is a noticable film of the green stuff (it is colored green) on the parts this is not clean (you dont want that you want lubed) they last forever and i would recomend anyone who uses the 927 to at least try something else and they will mostlikely notice a change in the way their bike runs..mobil 1 synthetic is a great oil i wouldnt change from that and yes any pre mix can be used in 4 strokes or vehicles they wont care but the 4 stroke could run a little leaner because of the oil. IrideA250R
agreed..for gasoline applications a synthetic lubricant is FAR superior to castor. Castor works great with alcohol.....
