4mil short rod questions

Can you use wiseco pistons that are for a stock stock crank on a 4 mil short rod crank? Only the 795 pistons are required for a long rod am I correct? So if I have a fresh topend for short rod crank and want to put a 4 mil in I would just have to port for the 4 mil and mill head?

yes you can use standard banshee pistons with a short rod and have port timing raised for the added stroke and head milled .

Not flat tho. You need the domes rechambered so the pistons don't smash it.

BUT I will throw this out there.

I had a 110 rod. I now run a 115. I made this switch after 1 season. If you want to know why, just ask. If your set on a 110 then that's fine, plenty of people run them.

Sorry yes I should have said re-chambered not milled. The added stroke on a short rod creates more angle and puts more side load on the piston skirt to cylinder walls and seems to wear faster.

My problem is that I Just got my motor ported with new topend and now I have a bad crank seal. So I was looking at different options since I'm splitting the cases but I only have one trip on the topend so I'll just put new seals and gaskets and go 4mil later

How would you make a stock length stroker. Just kinda wondering if i have one because i had to have my domes cut because my piston was making contact i also run an over sized base gasket.
