ohSIXshee Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 What's the best way to go? I know Ricky is junk. Race tech is on back order for who knows how long. ..so now what. ..how's the electrosport stator? Sent from my Samsung Note 3 using Tapatalk Quote
Jereme6655 Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 what are you trying to do with this new stator is the real question. Why do you need a high output? Quote
Glenyboy Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 If it's for lights, go led and do the dc conversion. The money you'll save from not buying a new stator can go towards some nice lights. Quote
ohSIXshee Posted December 4, 2013 Author Report Posted December 4, 2013 what are you trying to do with this new stator is the real question. Why do you need a high output? i want to run a 20" led light bar if possible. the wattage is 120. Quote
VoOK Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 i want to run a 20" led light bar if possible. the wattage is 120. Are you compensating for something? hahaha Quote
ohSIXshee Posted December 4, 2013 Author Report Posted December 4, 2013 20" LED light bar on a banshee? That is way too big, you only need a 10" max. i was thinking of using the stock mounting locations and run some bar stock to mount the feet to. would be nice with all that light. Quote
ohSIXshee Posted December 4, 2013 Author Report Posted December 4, 2013 It is overkill. they run them on rhinos so whats the difference. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 Look around for banshees with the led bars. Never seen one with a 20" led bar, but you would get an idea of what you would get away with. Personally I think It would be goofy lookin and most high watt stators are expensive unreliable junk. Just hate to see ya spend money and be unhappy. Quote
ohSIXshee Posted December 4, 2013 Author Report Posted December 4, 2013 I have one for my truck I'll pull it off and see how it looks. I'll post a pic Sent from my Samsung Note 3 using Tapatalk Quote
Justintoxicated Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 (edited) they run them on rhinos so whats the difference. Your correct it is not overkill, I run 4 HIDs on mine and want to switch to LEDs now that they are FINALLY producing decent stuff. Link to the stuff your planning to run? I have 2 ricky stators (one backup). So I'm interested in what you find. I was thinking the 8"rigid for the bars, as that's what my friend runs and it's quite nice, but still not enough light for me in the dunes Edited December 5, 2013 by Justintoxicated Quote
ohSIXshee Posted December 5, 2013 Author Report Posted December 5, 2013 Ok so the 20" is over kill and sticks out almost past my rear fenders haha. So a 14 inch 72 watt would fit perfectly on the stock light mounts. So to answer the question 72 watts is what I need in dc power. I talked with Evan at race tech and I'm going to have him rewind my stock stator and float the ground. Sent from my Samsung Note 3 using Tapatalk Quote
Starwriter Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 You know it's $300 for Racetech to do a high output rewind, right? Quote
ohSIXshee Posted December 5, 2013 Author Report Posted December 5, 2013 Not that much...but I live 4 hours away from the dunes so paying a little extra for a superior product it's worth it. Better than being stuck in the dunes and a wasted trip. Sent from my Samsung Note 3 using Tapatalk Quote
Starwriter Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 It says $300 on their website. How much did they quote you? Quote
