Stroker4501 Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Just rebuilt the whole motor got everything from k&t including a 1-5 override. Cant shift override into next gear without the clutch, i hope i don't have to tear this thing down again. Any help would be great! thanks -Mario Quote
LCW Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Does it shift through all of the gears with the clutch? Is it just hanging up on one gear? Install the springs correctly? Quote
Stroker4501 Posted October 11, 2013 Author Report Posted October 11, 2013 yea when shifting at 1/4 throttle will roll through all the gears. just when in power it wont shift, unless clutch is used. what fluid should be used for an override? Quote
Stroker4501 Posted October 11, 2013 Author Report Posted October 11, 2013 the forks where installed there at k&t i take it thats where the springs go? Quote
J-Madd Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Sounds like you don't have an override. 1 Quote
coryv4 Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 either that the shift adjuster is off. i spent hours trying to figure out why my dunable wasnt shifting under power, it was because of adjustment. Quote
#1JUANstunna Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 My override did this and the centering spring on the shift shaft was worn and so was the essentric screw. Quote
sleeper06 Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 Clutch could be slipping slightly have seen that happen on a friends bike does it have a lockout Quote

RagunCajun Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 Atf type f in mine. Breaks down fast so I changed it often. Whoever cut the over ride should tell you what fluid to run. Quote
LCW Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 ^ Why I don't like ATF. It is a good fluid for wet clutches and transmission, but you have to keep it cool. The second it gets hot it breaks down fast, which can glaze over your clutches. Quote
