Skeldaw Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 Hello, Im not a banshee guys just I was wondering something ; My cousin got a pair of drag ported over 400cc banshee cylinder, He now plan to resleeve those 350 and put them on his trail banshee because is cylinder that he have on his banshee are done, Do you think this will work? I keep telling it wont work since the porting will be WAY too aggresive for a stock 350 banshee, What do you think about that? Quote
sheerider11 Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 As long as he adjust/ swaps the power bands, he should be okay Quote
sheerider11 Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 If he likes speed he will be fine.Into a treeI didn't like my dune port in the woods, but I was in really tight woods with SHITTY tires. These were 1st-2nd, maybe 3rd gear woods. Wouldn't you now it, hit a tree and destroyed my a-arm Quote
Skeldaw Posted May 22, 2013 Author Report Posted May 22, 2013 So he won't be loosing power? The porting is made for a 400cc+ cylinder? Quote
coryv4 Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 it sounds like the porting is set up for a 4mil crank. if so it will not run worth a bent dick on a stock stroke crank. Quote
J-Madd Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 Just run the negative spacer plate. Seriously, it sounds like you can't make them work with sick stroke. Quote
slobanshee Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 My trail bikes a stock stroke cheetah drag ported. Lots of fun Quote
trickedcarbine Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 First verify that the cylinder is for a stock stroke or stroker. Buy the appropriate crank. Then send them off to be plated(nickasil). Easiest way to go and there are quite a few max bore stock cylinders out there with plating. If it really is a drag port, the best you can do is give it compression and timing with good fuel. Remember to keep it cool. But if you are he'll bent on the other set up..... If you put stock style sleeves back in you might be paying way more to get it right then it would be to just get new stock cylinders or even a good deal on something aftermarket. The CC size of the motor won't matter much when it comes to porting since its just stock cylinders. The real issue is that there is material removed for the "drag" port work so typically when guys re sleeve they pres in the liner and open the ports up to match the existing porting. To me it sounds like you may want material tig welded in to adjust the porting to be more trailable which will cost ya. Quote

Is it a drag port set up for a stroker crank? Got to know. And when you resleeve it, your sleeves will be stock porting while cylinders are drag ported. Maybe find some stock cyls and build off them?? Quote
Skeldaw Posted May 22, 2013 Author Report Posted May 22, 2013 Here is a picture of the porting <a href="http://www.freewebproxy.com/"><img src="http://www.freeimagehosting.net/newuploads/fscx3.jpg" alt="Free Web Proxy"></a> Quote
MarineNYC Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 Dude fuck that. Just buy a used set of ported cyl in this site and never look back. Quote
