Starwriter Posted April 30, 2013 Report Posted April 30, 2013 http://www.jlengineering.org/chrome_plating.html That's a good price. Many chrome shops won't chrome used pipes because they're afraid of getting gunk in their chrome tanks. Quote
CrashRyan Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 Love the T5s i thought about chroming mine but i took them in and did a high gloss black ceramic coat on them from head to tail and they look pretty sick now. they charged me $160 to do both pipes and the brackets to hold them. Quote

trickedcarbine Posted May 26, 2013 Report Posted May 26, 2013 You can use a medium buffing wheel or even a spiral sewn wheel with brown cake to tear all that junk off the pipes. Be careful with the spiral sewn wheels though as they are aggressive. Then use a fine wheel with white tripoli cake. Finish it with a fine wheel and red rouge. Clean the rouge off and use a good sealer. Quote

trickedcarbine Posted May 27, 2013 Report Posted May 27, 2013 Quick hand shine with Master Formula to get an insane shine then use their sealer. It's like red lotion. You wipe it over the surface till it looks like its been dipped in slime. Then let it haze up. Once the haze is dry, use a nice soft towel, rag, microfiber, etc. to wipe it off. Quote
