sheerider1026 Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 Just so ya know. Don't put to much thought into it. All anti freeze does is not let the water freeze. It's the water that cools your engine. You can run straight water in te summer time if you wanted. Keep it simple dude X2 Quote

A good radiator, 50/50 antifreeze, good working water pump impeller & alot of air flowing thru your radiator should keep it cool. Quote
D.N.K Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 after reading this I'm starting to think engine ice is a rip off. I have it in both my bikes and never had a problem, never had a problem before i switched either. Quote
Jereme6655 Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 Ive heard this before my several people. What are the benefits of running 50/50 vs straight? running 50/50 will very slightly aid in helping keep the motor cool.......however it is true that the water side of the 50/50 mix does more of the cooling.... the more so benefit of running straight anti-freeze is to allow the anti-freeze to lower the freezing point even more (make it harder to freeze) however IIRC you have to change it more as it will cause electrolysis even quicker than with the 50/50 mix. sprinklerman Posted March 30, 2013 Report Posted March 30, 2013 i just buy the pre-diluted 50/50 stuff because they already use distilled water in it and i don't have to buy it separate. Quote
sheerider1026 Posted March 30, 2013 Report Posted March 30, 2013 Ok guys. I think the horse is dead now Quote

trickedcarbine Posted March 30, 2013 Report Posted March 30, 2013 50/50 and i add redline water wetterThis ^I have also been running that Be Cool stuff the last few years because it performs almost as good as the engine ice for a near Prestone price. Quote
Bansheeteddy Posted April 7, 2013 Author Report Posted April 7, 2013 My mechanic said he doesn't like Be cool engine ice , because it tricks the engine on thinking that it is cooler when it's not ! Quote
