87BRBanshee Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 So im using a Twist throttle right now on my basicly stock shee, Only mod is T5's. I like the twist cuz its less fatigue on my hand, but I plan to do a 4mil build and im starting to think a twist might not be the best idea. So im just trying to see what you guys are using and how you like them on your rides. Quote
Infamous039 Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 I use thumb throttle with extended lever. If you use to twist then you should be fine. Quote
Starwriter Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 I have a dual gasser. Thumb and twist both. I really like the thumb for tight winding trails and technical stuff and pull the pin to use the twist for flats, racing or if your thumb gets tired. Quote
sheerider11 Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 The way I hammer through the whoops I would die if I had twist Quote
BUILDER Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 Have ran a twist on my bike ever since I bought it. It is a 421 cub now and I have no issues with the twist at all. The whoops take a time or 2 to get use to them but I have hammer through them just fine. Quote
special06shee Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 Twist throttles are meant for 2wheelers Quote

But me personally I feel I would jerk it around to much and flip the bike or something crazy. Quote
bikerjon Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 thumb for the rough stuff and twist for the smoother stuff. Get a dual gasser and you will have the best of both worlds. Quote
rjdgriff Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 I'd have to go with thumb, but a dual gasser would be sweet Quote
FullThrottle_06' Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 Twist throttles are meant for 2wheelers Gotta agree, twist throttles belong on dirt bikes, not quads. Ive never been able to ride a twist throttle worth a shit. I can't control the machine at all. I'm 100% thumb throttle. Quote
bluebanshee98 Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 like the others said twist and thumb both have there good spots however i dont feel like im riding a quad if it has a twist throttle. my buddy has one, its alright but i perfer thumb Quote
bansheebaza Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 thumb for the rough stuff and twist for the smoother stuff. twist is for bike really Quote
ATVridinMaNiAc Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 The weight, stance and overall feel of an atv isnt very compatible with a twist. Its perfect for a dirtbike where as its lightweight and nimble and you dont move your position as much if riding hard, specially if youre racing and your leaning really hard to take turns it can be a pain with a twist. trickedcarbine Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 First Banshee I bought had the motion pro on it. And I guess growing up on dirt bikes makes me used to it. Never had the desire to change back and I just feel akward riding a thumb throttle now. Not to mention the sore thumb after a while Quote
