turbowrenchhead Posted July 6, 2012 Report Posted July 6, 2012 I did a little search and looking through the radiator ads on ebay. It looks like they are all coming from China. I don't want a Chinese pos. Are there any quality over sized radiators on ebay? Or do I have to go straight to a vendor? Quote
Infamous039 Posted July 6, 2012 Report Posted July 6, 2012 Couple people here have ran the chinese including myself and they work excellent. Quote

Infamous039 Posted July 6, 2012 Report Posted July 6, 2012 So then buy that one from Herrjugs, but the ones on ebay are by far good pieces and work as they should. Either way you cant go wrong. Quote

toytech Posted July 6, 2012 Report Posted July 6, 2012 the asi one looks like good rad for $57, with one year replacement warranty Quote
bikerjon Posted July 6, 2012 Report Posted July 6, 2012 what sort of temp decreases are you guys getting with these radiators? Quote
Starwriter Posted July 6, 2012 Report Posted July 6, 2012 (edited) the asi one looks like good rad for $57, with one year replacement warranty I have no experience with any of them but after reading all the negative feedback comments for ASI, there's no way I would buy from them. If you buy from HJR, you can be sure Kevin will stand behind his product. Edited July 6, 2012 by Starwriter Quote

RagunCajun Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Why the need for another radiator? My stock one works fine and i ride in the heat. Only other cooling mod is a billet impeller. Quote
turbowrenchhead Posted July 12, 2012 Author Report Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Why the need for another radiator? My stock one works fine and i ride in the heat. Only other cooling mod is a billet impeller. i have read and personally seen on a older 92 shee that they overheat when they are ridden hard. Older bikes with older radiators do not cool as well as newer ones. If it needs to be replaced then one might as well replace it with an over sized unit. Since mine is an 87 with a stock unit. I'm going to replace the radiator and also putting in a billet impeller and billet water pump gear. The plastic stuff just doesn't look like it would hold up in a melt down. kjh Posted July 16, 2012 Report Posted July 16, 2012 i bought a chinese one, had poor workmanship. Pressure tested it and it was ok. After i got it I was ashamed of myself! Buy American when you can. Quote
