So Cal Suspension Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 In my opinion, I think the key to having these cranks last is to have them professionally installed. I think the novice builders are missing things and ruining the cranks themselves. Quote
mike0chek Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 Looks I am a victim of the 29 rod!! bummer dude, are your bottom cases trashed? Quote
mike0chek Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 so donkey's can install hot rods but pro's have to install 29LR's?? that sounds logical..... Quote
rubberneck Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 so donkey's can install hot rods but pro's have to install 29LR's?? that sounds logical..... Maybe a baboon, but i dont think a donkey could install a crank. How would they hold on to the wrenches without fingers? Im not an expert, but i just dont see how it would work Quote
turbobobby Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 bummer dude, are your bottom cases trashed? the cases are repairable. not to much damage to them....it's my wampus cylinders that I am concerned about. Quote

stroking Posted June 29, 2012 Author Report Posted June 29, 2012 (edited) funny how nobody who had a pro install them has had any problems. they bend and break billet and hotrod cranks,so i doubt there doing any better..they just dont tell you!! i have replaced rods, retrued, reweld, and installed over 200 cranks in banshees and even more counting 4strokes and dirt bikes and i have never seen cranks snapp rods like the 29l/r i know all about these engines...big and small maybe you should go take a look in the back of a PROSHOP and see how many damaged cranks are laying around Edited June 29, 2012 by stroking Quote

locogato11283 Posted June 30, 2012 Report Posted June 30, 2012 There's a big difference between the cylinders and the head. You said "i feel your pain man, cost me 400 to fix my cub head." Quote
