T_Shee Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 ive heard good things about moose stators and ricks electronics stators. both can be found on ebay. stay away from ricky stator and rm stator Quote
gotta_goatsfast Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 I've got a moose stator. Its quite a bit beefier than stock so dont be alarmed if it looks like it will barely fit. haha, but two years and no problems. Quote
gstaten24 Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 I run a lectrics 200 watt stator for the last 2 years and I've had no issues at all with it, plus the stator itself has an adjustment on it so I can run +4 timong Quote
official_style Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 i ordered 2 moose stators when i was trying to run higher wattage lights. both were defective. i tried every stator except for ricks stator, and always had a problem, either the bike wouldnt run or the lights wouldnt work. check my thread its on here but kinda old. i heard ricks stators are still made here, not in china like ALL the other ones being sold, so the ricks are supposedly ok. i gave up and went back to stock, no way im having my stator die when im out riding. Wheatchex Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 (edited) A few years back(probably more like 7 or 8) i had good luck with ricky stator rewinding my broken stator. They must have gone down hill since. The longer I have been away, the more things have changed. Seems like for the worst for a lot of companies I used to hold in high regard.
