06specialedition Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 Anyone used K&T billet intakes? I'm getting new carbs and am trying to decide what intakes to get. Kim at K&T said they make there billet intakes in house. Wondering if anyone is running these? Thanks, -Zach Quote
Boston Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 ive never ran there intakes but i run a set of intakes that have the built in crossover tube that k&t ported and i really liked them alot! Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 I'm sure most of the sponsors carry just about any intake you want. I ran the UPP intakes on my 10mm Cub. The billet Boss intake is also available. Quote
jbooker82 Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) I run a boss intake with the built in crossover. it is deffinatly worth the cash. It moves the carbs up and back so they dont hit on the clutch arm. The built in crossover cleans up the look too. It has standard mikuni rubber flanges too. 06specialedition Posted March 31, 2011 Author Report Posted March 31, 2011 Cool thanks for the helps guys. Brandon and Shay at Wildcard are taking care of me, and I'm sure they can get the boss intake. I'm doing some 32 Mikuni flat slides on this bike... Should wake it up with my current mods That looks really nice jbooker Quote
HardLuck Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 I'm running a K&T billet intake on my bike with built in crossover.... seems to work Well Quote
RadarRacing Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 Take this advice tho. I use the billet intake with the crossover too. Take it apart and yamabond the 2 pieces together as wel as yamabond the boots to the billet part. All those things leak and they just get worse over time. I had a huge airleak recently from mine. If I had a gas bike instead of an alky bike running really rich I'm sure I woulda burned somethin up. Quote

4mill95 Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 I used K&T billet intakes they worked great on my bike. bobbo i think yours was like mine and has no cross over. Quote
camatv Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 (edited) screw those bucket of shitt crossover tube crap. if you buy the proper intakes with the rigth angle adn height the carbs clear the clutch arm fine. the closer the intake to the motor the better the throttle response will be. i have used 2 seperate intakes for years i really didnt like those new style leaky ass badly machined crap. the vitos bullseye intakes are great and the trinity intakes are decent as well ( yea yea i know trinity sucks bla bla bla) chariot individual intakes seemed good also, UPP intakes were also one of my fav's simple and bolt right on. the BIG cub intakes without crossover are a great way to go with bigger carbs. dirtydownunder Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 hit up wildcardracing !!, they make billet intakes that are offset to the right and up, to clear the clutch arm and left stinger. Quote
