going back to my 2 into 1 pipe

I use to run a dynoport 2 into 1 pipe and wanted to go back to my old pipes, they were mid range dynoport twin pipes.

I changed them and hate the twins yes they make way more power but I dont like the low end power, seems that when playing on hills the 2 into 1 pipe can lug down much lower befor trying to stall.

I'm borrowing (from east coast atv) a shearers 2 into 1 pipe and am going to be testing it out I spoke with Matt Shearer a few months ago and told me what to expect from this pipe he seams very helpful and down to earth not trying to oversell everything.

I ride all trails a lot of real tight stuff. I will keep you posted on how the new pipe works. (hopefully I will clear my airbox with out to much tweeking)

Try a set of pt mids, fmf gnarleys, or pro circuits on it. Those are real low end pipes.

I fully understand how an expansion chamber works , therfore I fail understanding a 2:1 pipe banghead . Why pay for sub-par performance? Might as well run stock pipes. Even with a turbo I would think two pipes joined at stingers just before turbo would be better. The effort of doing the math isn't worth the effort to understand how it works ( or actually doesn't) because it's something I have no interest in. Personally I think a supercharger would be a better option on a 2stroke. JMHO, your results may vary. :jesterlaugh:

I have a Motofast 2-1 for my 2000 shee , I haven't run it yet because I need to finish modding a exciter 440 intake for my 2-1 carb set-up. The pipe fits perfect inside the frame with no clearance probs . I'm not running the airbox anymore . I ride at Sand Lake and Florence , Moses Lake , but also do some trail riding , and the low end power gains will ( I Think ) make the shee's powerband a little more predictable .

I figured I would hear some shit for the pipe choice but its just my preference. Maybe one day I will join the pc cult but for now I will just keep playing with what works for me. :jesterlaugh:

I do understand that I'm losing a lot of power but I never seem to be up in the rpm high enough to make the loss of bottom end power worth it.

where we ride I'm in 1st and 2nd gear going in and out of trees over rocks etc. 50 plus % of the time I'm riding my buddies all have 400ex quads and yes most of what we ride that is a better quad for the terrain but doing it on a banshee just makes it so much more fun. :headbang:

Those pipes I mentioned will make more power than the 2 into 1 everywhere. Even more bottom end power.

Any thing 2:1 convers your banshee in to a 2 cylinder blaster.

I am developing a new product. It is a torque or bottom end multiplyer. Not real set on the name yet. It is desigend for 2:1 guys. If your running a 2:1 carb but still running dual exhaust the kit will be a little more expensive because you will still need 2 of them.

Esentially it is a rubber stopper with a 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, or 1/2 hole. The more bottom end you want / need the smaller the hole. The delux kit will have all 4 sizes for $99 bucks, or they can be purchased individually for $30. You just stick it in the end of the silencer. It makes going from differnt power levels simple and quick.

People running dual carbs and dual exhaust should not use this product.

Well as I figured it would not fit correct this pipe was made for no airbox Matt Shearer did say that he would make one to clear the stock airbox.

I did get it to fit although not the way I want I will probably have him make me one that is made for the airbox.

It has way more low end and throttle responce that my twin pipes which are suppose to be real close to fmf pipes acording to dynoport it seems to hit right off the bottom and revs very well.

it seems to be running to rich as I did not change any jets yet from the twins it seems to pull very nice cant wait to actually get to ride it (my yard has snow in it right now and there are only a few dry spots to really try it but only 1st few gears.

so far I like it and it sounds awsome when you get on the throttle. :D

Fmf makes 3 different sets of pipes for a banshee, Which one did you think the dynoport twins power curve was aimed at?

I went and played some more with the exhaust and then switched from the shearer to the dynoport 2 into1 one and the shearer makes more in the seat fell torque it seems to pull 1 gear higher than the dynoport 2 into 1.

so far the pipe is awesome and will be great for anyone looking to make better driveable power in low rpm motors

Keep up the good work Matt Shearer

I would love to see a set of the new serval jugs with this pipe that would be a nice setup possibly.
