front tires

Hi Peeps!!

 

Looking for some input on front tires. Ride mostly hard packed/dirt. Every once in a while I go to the dunes, I run maxxis sur trak's on the back - luv 'em. Have heard some good things about the kenda klaw front tires. Can get some razr fronts for decent price.

 

What do you recommend??

We are poor boys running what was on it when we bought them. My guess would be most would either say Razors or hole shot. Maybe cruise the MX or XC forum and see what is on profiles or maybe do a search.

Thanks Larry!! Holeshots are quite expensive here, I love the look of them. If I go holeshot, for which ones do I go??

Just get Razor 2's but if you go hole shot get GNCC

My buddy has run razor 2's on sand and dirt. They run great on both. He said that he couldn't tell much difference between the razors and sand star dual ribs on sand.

i love the center row of knobs design, razr 2's will last longer, i would get 22" razr 2 or holeshot gncc fronts

I have been using the Maxxis irazr tires on the front of the Banshee and Y450 for years. They are a radial tire and would be great on hardpack. High speed stability is great. I ride a lot of mx and I think you get a smoother ride over the bumps. I have about 1/3 tread remaining and still have good traction. The irazr rear tires are a very good tire also.

i honestly like the original holeshot fronts. they look like they have awesome traction and look awesome

i have a pair of R/A ground busters (sherdders) great tires for sand and hard packed really great on mx tracks.
