Dune port jetting HJR

Just bought a set of cylinders they are a HJR dune port..

 

Set up will be

 

HJR dune port

pro flow with pro designs filter

+4 timing

milled head

FMF Fatty pipes Turbine core silencers

NW Ohio on lake erie

50-90 degrees

 

 

I was guessing 340 mains and 27.5 pilot, am I close?? Thanks

Good spot to start. Probably end up closer to 290-310 on the main

im at a 290 now with no porting

Well, like I said start at the 340 and work down. The porting actually helps pull fuel through the carbs.

Bump it up a few sizes and go from there. I have a stock 350 with an aggressive dune port by Wildcard and I'm at 310 mains at 5000 feet.

yeh call or message HJR, he will tell you exactly or get you pretty dam close.

 

my dune port with t5's has 330 mains with stock pilots.

Put the bike together with 330 mains and the same 27.5 pilots..

 

It rips up top, but the bottom end is horrible. I havent played with air screws yet, but I will..

 

How much would a cool head help with 21cc domes???

try leaning the needle 1 clip.

did you ever change that pilot out. im having the same issue with my bike. rips up top but no bottom end, not sure if i should go leaner or richer on the pilot, let me know how it goes

Alotta times you can tell if your pilots are lean by trying to crack the throttle open with the bike idling. If it wants to stall out then it may be lean on the pilot or even the needle. Seems like its pilot mostly but also needle clip position as well.

i have a 340 main on my hjr dune port but i have pod filters, and t 6's. not sure on pilot and needle cuz they never needed to be changed

old post but im in ohio as well and i run a aggressive play port with fmfs and shaved head.im at 350 mains and 4th clip on the stock needles from bottom,stock pilots.toomey 2into 1 air filter

155 mains and 48 pilots im running this at 1000ft you might want richer for the temp and alt
