Jaystre Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 just want to know if anyone ever tried to unkink a pipe by putting water in it and leaving it in the cooler over night ... ? Quote
SLORYDER Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 I've heard of this. I'if it's a big kink chances are it'll take more than just that. PM AKheathen about his air compresser method. Seems like it would work good for a bad kink Quote
AKheathen Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 if it's a bent pipe, then there is allot more than just poppin dents out. probably, have to cut, reshape, then weld back Quote

Erwin8r Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 I've done it with 4-poke pipes (on my KX450 ti Pro circuit header, for example) with good results. The ti header was easy. A thicker, stainless header took a couple tries to get the dent fully out. I'd try it, at least. Quote
chetgoff Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 My brother-n-law did this with his stock cr-250 pipe and it split open and blew black soot all over his freezer. His wife was pissed. it will work with aftermarket pipes that are welded together but i would not do with stock pipes Quote
