new to the forum/banshee's got a couple Q's

like the title says new to the forum, had a login for awhile just never had a banshee, recently bought a 2003 that was completely stock. did some general maintenance, new chain, rear bearings, changed fluids blah blah. then i bought some T-6's, k&n with adapter plate, dynojet kit and airbox vents. put the pipes on and installed the jet kit, synced the carbs, now i have a couple questions. first off the low end seems kind of crappy but the top end screams like no other, im runnin 280 mains, stock pilots, air screws are 2 turns out and my needles have 7 notches in them and i have them at the 4th down from the top. what do i have to do to get more low end? should i be runnin 32:1??? and had a couple ideas for my next mod, impeller, tors removal, or timing plate. also i have a dead spot in the throttle at about 1/8 if i hit the spot it just dies completely. sorry i wrote so much but any help would be appreciated. also should i get bigger pilots like 27.5??

bigger pilot to start. try the 27.5 and see how it runs. needle sounds about right.

 

what fuel/oil mix are you running?

I want one but I will be doing a lot of tight trail riding and I think keeping it cool should be the biggest priority, I'm thinking billet impeller but not sure why to do first

I live here in michigan also, I would go to a 27.5 pilot 1 1/5 turns out.

Where are you from?? And its between tors elimination and an impeller, haven't decided yet. I just wanted to make sure I was setup right,mains/pilots/air acrews/fuel-oil ratio

The stock pilot jet, go to a 27.5. I also second the Klotz at 40:1.

Are you SURE the TORS are gone? That is the exact symptom of a mis-adjusted TORS system. Gotta have about 1/4" of of slack in the throttle, no more, no less.
