  1. im still kind of debating on the 40:1 switch, because im running yamalube right now and everyone says switch to klotz. but then im gonna have to start over from point A if i switch and i need this thing running right by next thurs
  2. im gonna double check the sync of the carbs and make sure that isnt my problem, then move to needles next.
  3. which way should i go on the needles up or down??
  4. well i am still debating on switching because this thing is already pissing me off enough. and when you say go further on the pilots maybe like 30's??
  5. 1/4 through 3/4. because once it hits the powerband the thing screams. i have been bouncing the air screws back and fourth between 1.5 -2.5 cant seem to find the spot it likes the most. and im just worried that when i switch from 32:1 to 40:1 that its gonna get worse. because 40:1 is leaner correct???
  6. tried to sync them as best as i could without that gauge thing, they both open at the same time and when i WOT and let off then both click together.
  7. Well messed around with it today and put the 27.5's in. But it still doesn't seem all that ballsy. I'm gettin fed up with this thing. Seems like everyday I'm wasting more time on it.
  8. I'm gonna try and mess with the idle, but I wasn't sure if I should maybe try 290's and move the needle up with one of those half step washers to 3.5. Because it has great power thru 4th, but after that it seems to drop the powerband
  9. ok got a 03 banshee, T-6's, k&n with no snorkel and 10 vents in the lid. bought a jet kit and the biggest mains it came with were 280's. my elevation is 700 above and temp will be around 60-85. got the air screws 1.5 turns out and just bought 27.5 pilots. my problem is when i first start it, it smokes and wont run with the choke on. i have to hold the throttle, but once warm it idles fine but doesnt seem to smoke at all. right now im running yamalube 32:1 with 93 octane, but will be switching to klotz 40:1 next tank. i was wondering if i am too lean or something, oh and the needles have 7 notches and im on the fourth one down. any help would be appreciated
  10. Used a press at worked and they walked right out with no problems
  11. Ok thanks man, I will try that tomm
  12. That's not too far from me, so just unplug the box and thts it?
  13. the tors are not gone. i need to remove them
  14. also any thoughts as to what is causing my dead spot??
  15. Ok, will do that next tank and see how shee runs
  16. Where are you from?? And its between tors elimination and an impeller, haven't decided yet. I just wanted to make sure I was setup right,mains/pilots/air acrews/fuel-oil ratio
  17. I want one but I will be doing a lot of tight trail riding and I think keeping it cool should be the biggest priority, I'm thinking billet impeller but not sure why to do first
  18. 700 above sea level, mainly gonna be riding between there and 1500
  19. like the title says new to the forum, had a login for awhile just never had a banshee, recently bought a 2003 that was completely stock. did some general maintenance, new chain, rear bearings, changed fluids blah blah. then i bought some T-6's, k&n with adapter plate, dynojet kit and airbox vents. put the pipes on and installed the jet kit, synced the carbs, now i have a couple questions. first off the low end seems kind of crappy but the top end screams like no other, im runnin 280 mains, stock pilots, air screws are 2 turns out and my needles have 7 notches in them and i have them at the 4th down from the top. what do i have to do to get more low end? should i be runnin 32:1??? and had a couple ideas for my next mod, impeller, tors removal, or timing plate. also i have a dead spot in the throttle at about 1/8 if i hit the spot it just dies completely. sorry i wrote so much but any help would be appreciated. also should i get bigger pilots like 27.5??
