james
i ran a toomey 2-1 where the filter sets vertical, i welded a socket to the frame before powder coat. its perfect
Snopczynski
Take the pod and heat up the rubber on the outlet of it with a heat gun. Put it on the carb freshly warmed and tighten it down with a real hose clamp. Do not mess with it until its cooled off. It should stick on at that point. bansheesandrider
Make sure you are using a quality clamp, not the stockers. Cascade used to sell some clampsthat did a real good job, I don't know if they still carry them or not. You might also try roughing up the inside of the filter with some sandpaper. HectortheHut
Sometimes they slip off if you tighten the hose clamp too much.
broncbob
Make sure the clamp is on the bell of the carb, if the pods are sitting on the carb bell at a angle, and then you tighten the clamps, they never really get that tight. I have to slightly push my angled pods down the get then square on the carb bell.
