i just put in some 400 main jets on the mikuni 28 flat slides and running almost perfect now but still feels like 6th gear dont pull quite as hard as it should maybe i need new k&N clamp ons the old ones are well used and looking pretty beat or maybe 410-420 main jets

i have mikuni 28mm flat slides ported to 30mm with fmf sst and clamp on k@ns and trail port i put carbs on same time i ported motor they have 330 mains in them and it runs great in 1st and 2nd and most of 3rdgear and half throttle but on longer pulls wide open i have to back out of the throttle or it bogs down and feels like im loosing fuel i think its jetting i dont think im pulling enough fuel to empty the carb bowls or that i need a dual pingle valve??? / anyone running same setup main needle size???
-
leave lid off for more power or jet down for less power / adapter plate for clamp on k@n will keep filter in place or u can zip tie filter down it works good

newbie here, banshee bogging
banshee35005 replied to ShEeRiDeR01's topic in General Banshee Discussion
before jetting it id put in new plugs and see if thats the problem and then clean the air filter also try running it with airbox lid off or with airbox lid on / and you said u messed with cable so id check the slides in carbs and make sure they are sync'd / if thats not it then go up jet size and clean carbs out when jetting and take a look at the reeds also / i dont know how people ride in the cold lol once it hits 40f or less my shee is put up for winter -
its a steal for $400 in my opinion i wouldnt think twice they are very easy to work on and all the info you would need is on this sight lol
-
try new plugs and pull off plug wires put plug in wire and lay on top of motor and see if u have spark sounds like u dont have any spark make sure coil and all wires are still plugged in and all of your tors system is either all pugged in or all unplugged / try unplugging the tors box to the left of coil under gas tank

Lost my crossover tube, whats a temporary repair?
banshee35005 replied to blaster2006's topic in General Banshee Discussion
i have never sync my carbs with a tool just always eyeballed them and they where fine / yeah u can just block off the crossover tube and it probably sounded lean because of all the air leaking past your fingers lol -
probably a different builder he said the honda ran lol  if the guy that ported those cylinders built the honda i doubt it would run
-
yeah that port job looks like shit i can port better than that lol ur better off with stock cylinders u probably actually lost power from the port no way they could flow right demand a refund / once u get ur banshee running right ull junk that honda lol
-
also put in new plugs
-
yeah slides might have gotton switched around or one of ur idle screws leaks in air leaning out the cylinder / and sync the carbs so they lift up at exacty the same time when u push the throttle / unplug tores box to the left of the coil under the gas tank and the one on throttle / check for dirt in ur jets or metal particals from drilling your idle screws
-
cpis should flow better and u should have to jet up maybe ur not getting enough air in try running with filters off carbs for a second maybe there dirty or u need bigger filters or id say something else has to be wrong or maybe it is the port job
-
i ported my own banshee and got alot of power out of it defineatly best mod ive done so far / for a $5 dremel bit i got more power than all my bolt ons combined
