What pods are you running, angled or straight ones? I know mine rest where the swing arm pivot bearing is or cases I cant remember and I have never had an issue.

just strait one, no outer wear they sit on the top of the case, i dont get it i must be scewing something up the problem follows 2 sets of pods. you guy just putting the pods on dry and tighten the hose clamp right?

Take the pod and heat up the rubber on the outlet of it with a heat gun. Put it on the carb freshly warmed and tighten it down with a real hose clamp. Do not mess with it until its cooled off. It should stick on at that point.

Make sure you are using a quality clamp, not the stockers. Cascade used to sell some clampsthat did a real good job, I don't know if they still carry them or not. You might also try roughing up the inside of the filter with some sandpaper.

sccuff the outside of the carbs with scotch-brite, or sandpaper to get a rough surfface to stick to...and make sure it's not all oily.... i ndidn't have aproblem, either...

never lost one either....yet. i always prefer to use a socket when possible, i fuckin hate flat head screwdrivers......

Make sure the clamp is on the bell of the carb, if the pods are sitting on the carb bell at a angle, and then you tighten the clamps, they never really get that tight. I have to slightly push my angled pods down the get then square on the carb bell.
