I ditched mine along time ago because it would never keep coolant in it. I read on here that it was useless but seriously what is it for? Ive had no problems at all with mine off either. its supposed to suck in coolant apparently when the radiator becomes low, but im not convinced the damn thing works like that. in all reality, if your radiator is low or losing coolant you have a more serious problem. ditching the bottle cleans up the bike and sheds some weight.
