06specialedition Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 I run the Boss radiator. $135 shipped to your door: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Boss-ATV-Racing-Banshee-YFZ350-oversize-radiator-/150556512102?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item230dde0f66#ht_500wt_956 Quote
jonpeter0420 Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 I bought a Chinese radiator off of eBay and have been running it for over a year with no problem. However the cap it came with is cheap so I use my stock cap. Also the add claimed to decrease engine temp but I don't believe that it just holds a little more coolant. Other than that it works fine. Oh and the boss radiators are the same exact thing just with the boss name slapped on it Quote

IDK though good topic I was thinking of gettin on of these but if it doesn't really reduce engine temps why would I???? Quote
jonpeter0420 Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 Wow that is a shitty rad. I do not Like that space on the bottom at alll. The one I bought was not like that. Quote

jonpeter0420 Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 Care to elaborate on your opinion? See the 1/8 to 1/4 inch space on the bottom of the radiator in the top pic ( it's hard to judge how big of a gap it is in the pic). My radiator did not have this gap. The core went all the way flush to the aluminum. I don't think this will affect the rad holding pressure but it looks cheap. I have shitty welds as well. Quote

Come on mang as long as it holds presure it will work. The poor guy who prolly got $10 to tig weld that did a good enough job. Quote
camatv Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 how do you figure those are shitty welds??? Quote
jonpeter0420 Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 how do you figure those are shitty welds??? Well I'm no welder, but even I can see those are no roll of dimes Quote
wfobasheeboy Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 I got one of these unit & I have been running it for a year now with no problems. As long as the weld hold up I am good with it. I did not buy it for a show piece. Quote
lms1977 Posted September 7, 2011 Report Posted September 7, 2011 how much extra coolant do they hold? Quote
