shoopie Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 I saw a special on the speed channel the other day called "dangerous drives". there was a segment on the us border patrol officers in so cal and arizona. there was one section where they had to patrol the dunes. they got to ride around in sand rails and quads all day looking for mexicans smuggling weed. how awesome would that job be. i would love to do that. what do you guys think? evro Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 situation; border patrol catches beach dude with some grass, the following conversation ensues.... border patrol #1 - okay, are you smuggling large amounts? beach dude - no,thats just my personal stash. border patrol #2 - are you absolutely sure? beach dude - yes, i'm sure. i don't have any more. border patrol #2 - well, it seems like you're telling the truth...... border patrol #1 - ok, here's what we're gonna do. we won't write you up and we'll let you go with a warning, but we have to confiscate your marijuana and paraphernalia. beach dude leaves...... border patrol #1 to camera man - turn that thing off. border patrol #1 - so......you wanna smoke some weed? border patrol #2 - HELL YEAH, fire that shit up.....and get over here camera man. GrMeyer Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Its not what you guys think it is. You just dont ride around all day and what not. 95% of the guys just sit in their trucks at some locations and wait for things to happen. About two years ago I watched a smuggler run over a border patrol dude. The guy turned around and went back into the dunes and off to Mexico he went. Need less to say, we couldnt leave camp for two days because of the investigation going on by the FBI. Quote
Koolguyson Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 Whenever I head over to Dome Valley we see a lot of border patrol trucks parked on top of hills. At night you can drive by the station and they are always filling up big coach buses with illegals. Crazy how many people they catch on a daily basis. Quote
