Ben350 Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 (edited) I don't know what happen here,but he was at the light it turn green and he launch and went 12:00 when it came down it hit hard,he cruised down the track with a rattling motor.......and this is what i found ....note this engine would still start on first kick am i missing something here? in the first pic it shows a new looking piston with no gouge marks and the crumbs on top, then in the other pic thats the piston pieces that came out of the exhaust? In the first pic shouldnt you just be looking down at the bent rod and some pieces? or did the dome of the piston completely break free and stay up at TDC???? stroking Posted September 28, 2009 Author Report Posted September 28, 2009 (edited) does this look like it was caused by running to lean ? we have not found the cause yet. its a alcohol motor! how much oil do you need in alcohol ? i used 4oz. for every gallon but some say to use 6oz. I seen that add all the time in motosports' magazine. Are you on stock cylinders and if so did you use the stroker gasket kit? Quote
