RippinShee Posted September 2, 2009 Author Report Posted September 2, 2009 Input on the UPP Manifolds please. Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Get em. I would rather run those over my Boss intake any day. Quote
x_doug_x Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Get em. I would rather run those over my Boss intake any day. may i ask why? Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 They leak everywhere. I spent 2 hours with a leak down tester and a bottle of silicone sealing them up. Quote
jbooker82 Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 I would rather run my boss intake than those upp ones. The clutch arm wont clear the drain plug on the bottom of the keihin carbs with out reed spacers. Quote
RippinShee Posted September 3, 2009 Author Report Posted September 3, 2009 Is this true? Will i need reed spacers? Will reed spacers affect my performance now? Where can i get them if i need them? Quote
rubberneck Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Get yourself some white knuckle intakes, and you will not have leak problems or need any spacers to clear the clutch arm. I run them on my 39s with billet bowls and have no clearance issues. I just ordered them to replace my current intakes on my 4 mil dune bike with 34 pjs Quote
RippinShee Posted September 14, 2009 Author Report Posted September 14, 2009 I have already purchased UPP Manifolds and 34 PJ's and stock airbox adapters...which are all on their way. Will i need spacers? Quote

IM not sure man maybe. I replaced the intakes that were on my 4 mil because even with the drain nut on the left carb ground flush it still hit the clutch arm. They were pro design intakes i believe not sure. You might, but im sure somebody on here will chime in today that has the upp intakes Quote
RippinShee Posted September 14, 2009 Author Report Posted September 14, 2009 Do reed spacers affect performance? Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Not really sure if they will effect performance, however you will need an extra set of gaskets, so keep that in mind. Either way, do a leak down test to ensure that you have everything sealed up. Just because everything is new doesn't mean it don't leak. Quote
